Meet Casey

Casey Raftevold

Besides being a father to my 4-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son, one of the greatest privileges in my life is having a career in Real Estate. After spending 19 years as a Construction Manager building up my professional communication & negotiation skills, I decided to pursue my life-long dream of becoming a REALTOR in Sturgis, South Dakota in January of 2019.

Since that time, it has been no surprise to me as to why I wanted so badly to be a part of this industry. I’ve been involved in many Commercial/Residential properties and really enjoy helping people relocate to our great area. The personal fulfillment in helping people with one of the most significant life decisions that they’ll come across is a personal fulfillment that’s even hard to put into words. To meet so many new people every day, of which many become lifelong friends, is simply a dream come true. Ensuring a win-win deal is something I pursue very seriously and take a lot of pride in. So being able to work with all the great professionals in our Black Hills area allows that task to be easily accomplished. Having been a part of the Mount Rushmore Area Association of REALTORS since March 2019, I’ve had the privilege to work with and learn from some very incredible individuals. It’s a team effort, and our MLS is a great team! After receiving the Rising Agent award in 2020 in the Mount Rushmore Area of Realtors I decided I wanted to be more involved in our MLS and am currently serving a one-year term as Secretary-Treasurer of our MLS and will become Vice-President in 2023 & President in 2024. When I’m not helping clients buy or sell properties, my favorite thing in life is just being with my family. With any spare time I come across, I love spending it hunting with my buddies or camping with all our friends. We’ve lived in Sturgis SD for 7 years now, and in the Black Hills for 16 years and what I love the most is there’s never a shortage of fun things going on in our area. We’re members of Grace Lutheran Church in Sturgis, I serve on the Sturgis Little League Board of Directors and coach Minors/T-Ball. Volunteering in our great community is something I thoroughly enjoy in my past time and take great pride in helping to pursue growth and sustainability in Sturgis and all of the Black Hills.
